Sample Acceptance Letter Fall 2010 - Wednesday, June 02, 2010
Congratulations, you have been selected to be a member of the FYSA Force travel team for the upcoming season. We hope you will accept this invitation and be a part of the team.

If you would like to play on this team, and your parents agree, please plan on attending the travel team meeting at 7pm on Sunday June 6th. This meeting will be held in the Courtyard behind the Lake Monticello Club House. The meeting will be prior to FYSA’S Annual meeting & pool party.   If you will not be playing on the team, please check email Libby@allbaugh.com and decline your position. We are excited about the upcoming fall season and the new teams. This year our Skyline league will be divided into a North & South division. This change was made by the league to limit travel to a maximum of 1-11/2 hours for all teams.

Travel fees for the spring season will be $390 per player. Fees include 2 tournaments, League costs, 2 jersey’s, team equipment and other FYSA sponsored activities or gear. Fundraising opportunities are available this summer to help any players with fees and any teams to purchase any “extra” team equipment or gear. No player will be able to participate in team activities until all fees are paid in full or sufficient payment arrangements are made; however no player will be exclude from the team for inability to pay.

Thank you for trying out, and we hope you will enjoy playing with the Traveling Force. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 589-5015.

Any questions: Denise Pieno, Travel Director

Travel team players are selected for, and expected to participate in, two full seasons (fall and spring) with the exception of the upper age groups (U15/16 & above) which are generally only for Fall seasons, with participants on those teams encouraged to compete for
the Fluvanna County High School Varsity and JV programs. The commitment for Travel is much greater for players and parents, in terms of effort, time and money.

Teams will be practicing two or more times a week, generally for 90 minutes at a time and will likely be playing half their games on the road on weekends throughout Virginia. Players will face more skilled, larger, stronger, and more experienced players and will need to be prepared to both win and lose with sportsmanship and good grace as they will be representing themselves, their team, and their county.
